9/14/2020 2:07:38 PM
THACO has been named the assembly partner and distributor of Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz buses in Vietnam since June 2020, bringing both trucks and buses of the German Group to the market. Daimler owns both Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi Fuso.

The partnership with Daimler AG is part of THACO’s strategy in developing the premium bus segment in Vietnam, building its product lineups to meet customer needs. The aim is not only providing European vehicles but also promises a modern and classy means of transport to the country.

Famous for their safety and comfort, the Mercedes-Benz buses will hopefully live up to their expectations.

With over 20 years working in the auto industry, “THACO is capable enough to supply Mercedes-Benz buses in Vietnam, as well as selling them to ASEAN markets”, stressed Till Oberworder, Director of Daimler Buses.

He also shared, “It’s been an honor to work with THACO for their intensive experience in commercial vehicle business. We strongly believe that Mercedes-Benz buses will be able to meet the increasing demands for premium buses in the Vietnamese market”.

As planned, THACO will produce premium sleeper buses and coaches with Mercedes engines and modern chassis imported from Mercedes bus plants in Brazil.

Besides Vietnam, the Group aims to export buses to ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, etc.

The buses are made at THACO’s Bus Thaco plant in coastal Quang Nam province and have Vietnam-wide distribution network.

Especially, thanks to nationwide service centers, THACO is always at your service, offering convenience and peace of mind to customers.

The buses are due to sell in the last quarter of 2020.
