On October 17, THACO AUTO Production Division leaders, in collaboration with Intertek Vietnam, organized a workshop on the effective application of the IATF 16949:2016 quality management system for 170 managers and executives from member companies and units, with the goal of continuously improving and enhancing the system's implementation at THACO AUTO plants.

Led by Mr. Ho Thanh Tam, an IATF assessor from Intertek Vietnam, the workshop covered key topics on the IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System, including its structure and requirements, methods for building the system (management principles, process approach, risk-based thinking, KPI evaluation process method), and its application.

IATF 16949:2016 is an international standard for quality management systems (QMS) in the automotive industry issued by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) with the support of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The businesses involved in automobile component manufacturing and supply chain must maintain their system according to IATF 16949:2016. To date, the THACO AUTO Production Division has built and applied the IATF 16949:2016 quality management system for 6 plants.

The workshop helped employees gain a deep understanding of the IATF 16949:2016 standard and its requirements, enabling them to effectively apply and maintain the quality management system in production and business activities, enhance work performance, minimize risks, and save costs and time.
