Mazda, the leading auto brand in Japan, has had strong steps with attractive and quality products in the journey returning to Vietnam in late 2010, through its manufacturer and distributor VinaMazda. 

In preparation for the return to Vietnam, VinaMazda manufacturing and assembly factory was built with the total investment capital of 20 million USD. The factory was inaugurated in September 2010 and completed in September 2011 in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Nui Thanh, Quang Nam, with the maximum capacity of 10,000 vehicles per year. Besides, Vina Mazda has received support from Mazda Motor Group in technology transfer, importing spare parts and equipment, consulting and training technicians and engineers.  All spare parts in the manufacturing process in VinaMazda factory are imported from Japan with a strict process controlled by Mazda’s experts. In addition, VinaMazda has been assisted by Truong Hai Auto Corporation in setting and signing contract of sharing important technology production line with high investment cost such as electrostatic painting or spraying and fire-retardant paint production lines, test-drive road, etc.; and, at the same time, transporting materials as well as the final products at Chu Lai Port. 

In 2011, VinaMazda gained the sales figure of 6,000 vehicles in Vietnam market. In 2012, despite the difficult situation of domestic auto market, VinaMazda continued to expand its investment and introduced many new models like Mazda BT-50 and Mazda CX-5. In the first six months of 2012, Mazda reached the sales number of nearly 500 vehicles. This positive sign shows that Vietnamese customers continuously love this long –standing Japanese car brand.

Vina Mazda’s plan is to continue to introduce new high quality models that are designed to be suitable to the Vietnamese. One of them is Mazda CX-5 which was officially introduced to Vietnam market in the middle of April 2014 but gained special attraction. Mazda CX-5 is the first model produced with the KODO design language, the Soul of Motion. This is also the first model that was fully equipped with SkyActiv Technology with direct fuel injection in order to improve the fuel efficiency. Its inferior furniture is sophisticated with diverse utility and highly safe equipment. After receiving positive response from customers, Vina Mazda will conduct trading a series of CX-5 model from October 2012 with attractive preferential treatment.

With the diverse product lines to meet customers’ demand in many segments, including Mazda 2, Mazda 3, Mazda 6, Mazda CX-5, Mazda CX-9 and Mazda BT-50, VinaMazda is in the progress of conquering customers who have interest in classic and quality car models with reasonable prices.
