THACO cares for people in hardship
On July 3, the Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients worked with Tay Nam Eye Hospital to organize a ceremony to sponsor eye surgeries for 200 poor patients in 2025. THACO served as the program’s sponsor.
The program was attended by Ms. Vo Thi Dung, the city’s former Party Deputy Secretary, Ms. Truong Thi Anh, Vice President of the HCMC Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients, THACO representatives, and the medical team from Tay Nam Eye Hospital.
In 2024, to celebrate the association’s 30th anniversary, THACO donated 2 billion VND, supporting over 1,100 eye surgeries and 6 heart surgeries, bringing eyesight and saving lives for many.
Beside joining this initiative, THACO has partnered with local governments in other social welfare works. Specifically, on June 26, Binh Duong Province People's Committee organized a meeting to review its temporary and dilapidated houses elimination in 2025. Mr. Le Huu Co, THACO Corporate Culture Vice Director, received a certificate of merit from the Provincial People's Committee on behalf of the corporation for its active contributions to the movement.
Reportedly, Binh Duong Province supported the repair and construction of over 400 local houses with a total cost of over 50 billion VND, in which THACO sponsored 5 billion VND, helping to build 100 houses, thereby improving living conditions and social welfare for local people.
Through these practical and meaningful programs, THACO not only demonstrates its social corporate responsibility but also helps to multiply humanitarian values in the community.
