THACO INDUSTRIES embraces technical innovation and improvement in 2025

THACO INDUSTRIES recently honored "Good Labor - Creative Labor" 2024 winners and launched the 2025 competition.

The "Good Labor - Creative Labor" 2024 was launched by THACO Trade Union in March 2024, and so far, the competition has seen remarkable results. Throughout THACO INDUSTRIES, there were nearly 1,750 innovation and improvement projects of waste elimination, helping save over 9.2 billion VND, contributing to optimizing work processes and increasing production efficiency. In 2024, THACO INDUSTRIES Trade Union rewarded 5 winners of the Good Labor title, 9 individuals, and 13 teams achieving the Creative Labor title.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Quang Nhung, Chairman of THACO INDUSTRIES Trade Union, praised the employees' efforts in the innovation and improvement movement: "This is to recognize the creativity, continuous improvement, and dedicated contributions of employees in their work. This is not only completing tasks, but how we think and come up with better and more effective ways of doing things." He emphasized that not only R&D engineers and technical teams, but also all members can propose innovations and improvements that can eliminate waste for their work. Each one develops their own innovation projects, and then the "Good Labor - Creative Labor" competition will develop, and collective intelligence will be maximized.

Mr. Ngo Cong Trinh, a Technology Engineering Specialist, Truck and Bus Air Conditioners Company, achieved his Creative Labor title with different projects, including adjusting molds for front floor carpets on KIA KA4, cutting jigs, inspection jigs for floor carpets on KIA KA4 and KIA MQ4. The improvements help save over 1.2 billion VND per year.

Sharing about the project "Adjusting molds for front floor carpets on KIA KA4", Mr. Trinh said: "I have noticed that there are only small changes on the new products compared to older ones. If each mold is used for only one product, it's a big waste, so I came up with the idea to design molds that can be used for similar products. I'm really happy that my project can contribute to the company. This is great motivation for me to continue working on new ideas and solutions at work."

Embracing collective creativity, the improvement team at Automotive Electrical Equipment Company was honored as a Creative Labor winner with the "Utilizing leftover materials" project. Recognizing there are plenty of materials left from previous projects, the team has found out solutions to make use of nearly 17,000 pieces of material, including electrical wires, wire protection sets, soft foam, fabric foam, vinyl, connector covers, fixing locks, etc. in electrical wire production while ensuring their quality and functions. The idea helped the company save nearly 350 million VND, according to the 2024 production plan. Mr. Nguyen Tai Nguyen, a team member, shared: "Thanks to great team coordination, we not only found solutions to utilize surplus materials for vehicles, but also optimized storage area, costs, space, and time."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, a worker at the Passenger Car Seat Cover Sewing Line, Auto Parts Manufacturing Company, received her Good Labor title. In 2024, she exceeded her production plan, achieving 104%. Not only did she master the seat cover sewing process for passenger cars, she also handled high-technical sewing processes requiring meticulousness and experience, such as joining and shaping details. She also engaged in training skills for new joiners, joining with colleagues in proposing improvements, contributing to optimizing production time, increasing productivity and aesthetics for products.

Ms. Dung shared: "The Good Labor title is the result of daily efforts of learning and improving, and supporting colleagues to achieve the highest results. The award brings not only personal joy but also motivation for me and my colleagues to work harder for task completion."

Building on the current momentum, THACO INDUSTRIES launched the "Good Labor - Creative Labor" 2025 competition, calling on all employees to participate in making initiatives, spreading the innovative culture to each production line, workshop, department, and unit, contributing to improving productivity and work efficiency, while forming a team that is "disciplined, technical, creative," contributing to the Group's sustainable development.
